Good morning!

It was another chilly day this morning in Tampa, but I am back inside my home with my green tea warming me up.

It’s good stuff, the green tea.

This morning was a little different – when I walked outside of my house, there was so much fog….it looked eerie.

I’ll admit, it looked sketchy – something out a horror movie.

A thought ran inside my head “Hey, how about we just stay inside today, you know, where it is nice, comfortable, and safe?”

Well as you can imagine, I told my brain “Nope!” and kept it moving.

As I’m walking down the street, I started thinking about “fear” and how it relates to not only my personal life but also to my business.

I’ve noticed that at every step of the way, fear was always there to accompany me.

So I went deeper into why I was fearful and the reality became clear…

It was all the unknown…

You see, when I was at my corporate job about a year ago deciding whether or not starting my own business was the right move, I was fearful about:

How do I start?
Where is the money going to come from?
How do I set it all up?

The same fear was there when I took on my first roller coaster…I was about 8 years old, waiting in line during a hot summer day at Universal Studios Orlando, hands are sweating, heart pounding, and all I wanted to do was just get away…

I don’t really know how I found the courage to actually get on the ride

But as soon as it was over…guess what…I wanted to ride it again!

It was such an awesome experience.

The same thing happened the first day I woke up and realized I didn’t have to go to “work.”

The same thing happens every day when I am deciding what to do to better myself and my business.

You might be experiencing that fear right now especially when it comes to your online business goals.

A fear of the unknown…a hesitation to start…

But that fear is a huge pivot point.

Fear is that line between being comfortable, and being uncomfortable.

As we know, it is being outside of out comfort zone that allows us to grow.

So fear is like a best friend telling you “Hey! Here is an opportunity for you”

I think the greatest thing about embracing the fear is that once your cross that “fear line”- you see people that went through the same process you did that are not only just starting out but are thriving in it.

To bring it full circle, As I was walking this morning, I saw an older gentleman who appeared to by in his sixties, running full speed without a shirt, he was lean and mean, and I gained a lot of respect for him.

Also, keep in mind that about 95% of the time, the situation that you are stressing about, has been faced by so many others so you don’t have to do it alone.

For example, if you want to succeed with your business online, all you need are 4 simple things:

1. Understand what problem you are trying to solve for your market
2. Have a way of advertising that solution to your market
3. Have a system in place that can capture their information (email)
4. Build your brand and loyal following through email.

That’s it….

But remember, fear is going to be with you every step of the way so face it and embrace it.

You’ll soon start to see that you are making significant gains on these “pivot point” opportunities to better yourself and your business.
